I worked with Gruff and the SFA many many years ago on the video to Play it Cool. The band wanted to use a computer game I had been working on at the time called Actua Soccer. We did a version which included images of the band and I then went on to spend some time with the band on a couple of tours. Gruff is a genius, such a nice bloke and a master at crafting the perfect tune.

A pretty piece of work indeed. Actually the addition of strings and piano is what makes it really work for me. Reminds me of a bit of Belle and Sebastian. Didn't know the artist before. Must admit, that I had to adjust to the way he... sings. But definitely going to check out his back catalogue!

His new album has been my Ljubljana soundtrack and I am going to see him playing live in Hamburg at the end of the month - all thanks to you. 😊
